Sculpture Tours

With much of the hot weather behind us, it’s the ideal time for sculpture tours of Lincoln Park’s historic monuments!

Scheduled dates:

September 9th, Bike Tour, 10:00 to 12:00*

Walking and bike tours follow portions of the route laid out in my book, “Giants in the Park.” Art trekkers will encounter giants from Lincoln to Grant and LaSalle to Goethe. Historic Chicago personalities, the World’s Fair, the Haymarket bombing, and the park’s cemetery years are a sampling of the connections that we will make.

Walking tours are $15 and bike tours, for those who have or rent their own bike, are $20.

Bike and Roll at North Avenue Beach (open April thru September) is the most convenient location to rent your own bike. It is located very near to the tour’s starting and end points. I can assist groups or individuals with bike rentals for a small fee.

The walking tour meets at the Abraham Lincoln statue, southeast of the Clark St. and W. LaSalle Dr intersection, and the bike tour meets at theGreen Vardiman Black statue, at the intersection of North Ave. and Astor St. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow for check-ins. Tours will begin promptly at their scheduled times.
