JanTaminiau Spring 2011 Couture

Jan Taminiau is an eminent couturier who launched his own label in 2003, bearing his own name. His creations are very conceptual, feminine, sculptural, and seductive to say the least. This collection is handcrafting at its finest because it consists of shoes over 9.5 inches high and garments made from reflective yarns

“The basis of my work is always the same: I am continually translating the asymmetrical mirror of life. Everything I undertake in daily life I place in my own context. This is reflected in my own work, the 2D/3D concept and my love of technique and craftsmanship. Expressed differently in each collection, though the core remains unchanged.
