Hautelanta Fashion Week kicked off its 4th year in style, with a special roof top meet and greet at the Glenn Hotel in downtown Atlanta.

Days 1 and 2 featured designers specializing in themes rather than seasons. Advante Garde the Couture Collections, and the Urban Chic collections.

This year H.L.F.W. kept the environment in mind with their Day 3 fashion show. The focus was on ECO Friendly fashion.

Everything from the clothing, the runway, the make up products, and styling embraced going GREEN.

Student and designer Ashley Nicole, won a spot in the fashion week through a competition. Her line is shown on the models with the Mcdonalds bags.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week kicked off in New York September 9th and will continue through September 16th. The Spring 2011 collections include an array of neutral tones, graphic prints, sheer and feminine detailing, and structure. Today’s post just puts a few of the featured designers in the spotlight:

Designer: Betsey Johnson
Betsey Johnson has made her mark on the fashion world by breaking the given rules and then setting her own. Betsey remains on the forefront with her amazing attention to detail, love for costumes, and quirky attitude.

Designer: Y-3
Y-3 is a collaboration between renowned Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, and the athletic brand Adidas. The “Y“ stands for Yohji Yamamoto, and the “3“ represents the three signature adidas stripes. This line is a collaboration of design, craftsmanship, and athleticism.

Designer: Christian Siriano
Christian Siriano is best known for being the youngest winner on season four of Bravo’s hit program Project Runway. Christian is still on the rise in the fashion industry with his clothing being sold in Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. His most notable celebrity clients include Victoria Beckham, Rihanna,Vanessa Williams, Heidi Klum, and Lady Gaga.

Designer: Richie Rich

Richie Rich marked his territory in the fashion world when he launched Heatherette in 1999. Since then, Richie Rich has gained success from his unique designs covered in glitter, sequins, and studs. Richie will launch his women’s line, Popluxe, this Fall.

Designer: Bensoni
Sonia Yoon and Benjamin Clyburn’s line Bensoni exemplifies and unyielding styles of feminity and structure. The duo’s creative collaborations result in delicate details throughout their garments. They have worked together on various projects and apprenticed with Donna Karan and Georgio Armani

Designer: Zac Posen
Zac Posen created a dress in 2001 made entirely of leather strips and dressmaker hooks. This dress was a conversation piece that focused on the female form. The buzz that circulated this piece was so powerful that the dress became acquired by the Victoria & Albert Museum (“Curvaceous” exhibit). Zac debutedhis first collection in February of 2002 and since then, Zac has evolved into a global luxury brand. The Zac Posen line is found in retailers such as Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
