Repairing skin from the inside out..
I have recently decided to move to a new city, which means I need to watch my coins. With everything that is happening I have not been taking care of my skin like I should, because of this I broke out. This doesn’t happen often but my issue is the dark marks that are left behind (hyper pigmentation). So I did some research to find inexpensive natural products that really work to keep skin clear on a budget.
The products I listed below are great for all skin types and unisex and the ones I highly recommend.
1. Black Soap
Most people have heard of black soap, you can google and find tons of info on the benefits. What’s important is buying the right black soap, Always check the label and make sure the ingredients are authentic. Traditional black soap is made from cocoa pods, roasted plantain skins, palm kernel oil, coconut oil. Believe me the simpler the ingredients the better. Black soapis useful in clearing up the skin with it’s exfoliating properties. If you have sensitive skin be careful, the soap can be a bit strong, just dilute the soap with a natural oil like coconut, olive, jojoba oil. Lather the soap in your hand then add a little bit of the oil cleanse and rinse that’s it.
2. Rose Hip oil
This essential oil comes from the seeds of the rose bush. Rose hip oil is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry or sensitive skin. It also reduces scars and fine lines it is light weight and none greasy. I apply a few drops after washing my face, or you can add it to your favorite moisturizer as another application.
3. Aloe Vera Gel
I remember my granny having an aloe plant and anytime someone got a cut or burn she would break off a leaf and apply it right to the booboo,It really helped heal the skin fast. Aloe vera gel is a great moisturizer for everyone especially for my fellas who shave or rock beards. I personally like this as a moisturizer under my makeup because it’s not oily. When buying this gel look for 100% to 80% aloe.
4. Collagen supplements
Collagen is a protein that functions as a building block for skin, hair, tendons, joints, other connective tissue. Taking collagen supplements can also help replenish and replace the natural collagen, which decreases as we get older. Another benefit is faster blemish healing, your skin repairs Its self on Its own, but collagen supplements may speed up the process by stimulating tissue formation.
5. Hyaluronic Acid supplements
Boost the production of collagen it helps retain skins natural moisture, this keeps the skin supple. Well hydrated skin is more resistant to wrinkles and fine lines. It’s pretty much like a moisturizer for skin from the inside out.
All of these products can be found at your favorite health food store. They are not terribly expensive which is a plus. Oh and one more thing be patient and persistent it takes time to heal your skin. Good luck on your clear skin journey.
