Founder and CEO of Eyecandy Modeling Anthony Thomas is "The Invisible Man"

1. What year did you start EyecandyModeling and why?
I actually started the idea of EyeCandyModeling at the end of 2001 and kick it off the beginning of 2002. We started ECM to show the world that there are people who appreciate a woman with curves from different ethnic backgrounds and not just the typical tall stick figure model commonly seen in the high fashion world. Most women of color have natural curves that the high fashion industry frowns upon. We think the complete opposite. We love women with curves no matter how tall they are.

2. What is the overview of ECM, services provided?
ECM caters towards the glamour market of modeling. Which is basically the men’s magazine market that showcases women in bikini, lingerie, and any where from artistic nudity to nudity, so are style is similar to Maxim to Playboy. First and foremost we are photographers! We provide ladies with professional pictures that are needed for a serious modeling career. Because of our popularity and the high traffic of our website many people in the industry come to us to recruit girls for various jobs rather its movies, magazines, TV shows, music videos, calendars, promotional events, etc. So these young ladies get the exposure to provide them with a positive step forward toward achieving their modeling goals and also of course….some money on their pocket!

4. What is the 1 thing you have to tell aspiring models the most.
Be honest with your look and do your research. What I mean by be honest with your look is to see what girls who look like you and shape like you are doing. Do you meet the requirement for a particular market your interested in? For example High Fashion requires you to be 5’9 minimum and very little curves. If you are 5’2 with a double D chest and a 45 inch butt then this industry isn’t for you.

5. What are the top 5 things all aspiring models need to know BEFORE shooting with anyone?
A) Do your research on the photographer. Does this photographer produce quality images? Does this photographer have a good reputation? Can this photographer provide credentials?
B) Hire a professional make up artist and hairstylist for your photoshoot. A photoshoot isn’t suppose to be your everyday normal look. Your suppose to be glamorous.
C) Pick outfits that compliment your body and highlight your assets. Something other then your face sells. For example if you have nice legs do not cover them up! Bring accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, belts, etc to help compliment your outfits.
D) Pay for your photoshoots. It’s to many wanna be photographers shooting girls for free (TFP/TFCD) and girls are complaining about them putting their pictures in places they do not want them such as ads or websites they do not want to be associated with. These ladies can’t do anything about it because they signed a release form. If you pay for your photos then you have full control over all your images and where they will be displayed. Also bring your own release form to the photoshoot so you have a written agreement that the photographer will not do anything with your pictures.
