NIKEiD offer the hugely popular elephant print as an option to the iconic shoe, but only 750 pairs featuring the print will be made. Don Cornelius, “Soul Train” creator, dies at 75

Don Cornelius, the creator of TV’s “Soul Train,” has died at the age of 75.

A press information officer at the Los Angeles Police Department told CBS Radio News that police responded to a call of a shooting at Cornelius’ home in Los Angeles. There is no suspicion of foul play.

TMZ reports that Cornelius died of an apparent suicide. Law enforcement sources told the website that he died of a gunshot wound to the head that officials believe was self-inflicted.

“Soul Train” debuted on television in 1971 and ran until 2006. Cornelius produced the show and was its host from 1971-1993.

You may not have heard of these two trendsetters as of today, but I guarantee you by the end of this year you will be very familiar with their work. A$AP Rocky (Always Stand And Prosper) has been hailed by many of the top rappers as the next big thing. It is rumored he just inked a $3 million dollar deal, which if you are up on your music industry knowledge is unheard of, especially for a rap artist. Jeremy Scott the designer from the Midwest who is by himself creating an unique niche for Adidas with his custom shoe wear and outfits. His shoes can be seen on several artist such as: Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. These two combined will shape 2012 in fashion and music, this is why Complex Magazine jumped on them early for a Feb / March issue cover. Great job Complex for staying ahead of the pack.
