Tips on wearing color for the Summer

Spring is here & Summer is right around the corner! It’s time to update your wardrobe with color. Many people shy away from fabulous colors, but this season its time to embrace it and be fashion forward! I will show you 6 different ways to rock color and own it.

1. Stay neutral

Use a pop of color to freshen up an otherwise neutral outfit.

2. Pattern Play

A dress, skirt or pant in a evocative pattern serves as a focal point. Pair with a solid and neutral accessories for a fab look.

3. Unicolor

Pair shades of one hue together in the same outfit for an incredible fashion forward look.

4. Color Blocking

There is basically two ways to play it, pair colors that are analogous (Fuchsia & Red or Blue & Green) or pair colors that seemingly clash (Yellow & Turquoise or Purple & Orange)

5. Pair with matching extra’s

Pairing is important, and finding the right matching extra gives that fab pop!

6. Keep your accessories neutral

You can never go wrong with a neutral, even though they are more in season in Fall and Spring, they are acceptable in Summer and Winter as well.

Camilla Franks revealed her Spring/ Summer 2013 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Australia. Camilla is a designer known especially for her caftans and dazzling prints, but her collection also included shorts, jumpsuits, dresses, menswear, and children’s wear. This show was definitely culturally intense.

Colors: green, citrus, pink, blue green, red, white, yellow, and orange.

Trends: cultural/ ethnic inspired detailing, tropical prints, paisley prints.

Focal Points: signature caftans and bold prints.

Accessories: large necklaces, floral head dresses/ lays, Indian bangles, cross-body bags, and platform sandals.

It’s no secret that we at KISS Magazine absolutely love Rihanna. Recently Rihanna and her team released a few sketches to her second venture with Armani Jeans her “Capsule Collection part 2″ . The release date is unknown however we are seeing a lot of similarities with the first collection which is displayed below. Rihanna did note that her first collection was very successful so it looks like she is on her way to becoming an official mogul.
